This is the Beginning...

Thus began Irwin Allen's classic TV series 'Lost in Space'. Yes the show got silly but many of the first season episodes were high adventure. Incidentally, the concept of 'Swiss Family Robinson' set in space was created by Ib Melchior and 'borrowed' by Irwin Allen. Melchior also created 'Robinson Crusoe on Mars' made by Paramount Pictures.

I got tired of searching for meshes for some classic Science Fiction ships so last week while down sick I started on one of the missing vehicles, the Jupiter 2.
The mesh includes the upper flight deck and landing gear up and down.
I've updated things a little, such as the enclosed boarding ramp and a plating texture on the hull. The interior isn't finished yet but far enough to show off a little.
