USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B

The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B was an Excelsior Class Starship, commissioned in 2293.

Commanding Officers:
John Harriman, William George, Demora Sulu, and Thomas Johnson Jr.

(Famous, in at least one reality, because Captain James T. Kirk was lost on her maiden voyage)

The Enterprise was instrumental in exploring the area of space beyond the Gourami Sector, mapping 142 star systems and making first contact with 17 civilizations.

Involved in numerous standoffs with Romulan Warships in the early 24th Century the Enterprise also took part in the disastrous 'Tomed Incident' where Starfleet, responded to a Romulan attack by outfitting several starships with cloaking devices and sending them into the Romulan Neutral Zone.
As negotiations progressed the Enterprise transported several Federation Ambassadors, including Sarak of Vulcan, to the planet Algeron.

Following the 'Treaty of Algeron' the Enterprise returned to exploration.

In the 2320's the Enterprise was reassigned to the newly established Cardassian Border.
When the Cardassians annexed Bajor in 2328 the Enterprise offered assistance to to a number of Bajorian refugee ships.

The Enterprise was lost and presumed destroyed in 2329. The last reports received indicated that the crew had contracted a dangerous infection. What happened after the final transmission and the Enterprise's ultimate fate remain unknown.

The edit was inspired by Celticarchie's piece here celticarchie.deviantart.com/ar… I kept some Enterprise B details that I liked, primarily the Warp Drive Nacelles, less the extra fins, but got rid of the add on Impulse Engines and the flare-out on the engineering hull. They really messed up her lines.
NOTE: I know the Bussards in 'Generations' were blue. I made them red for continuity's sake.
