I live in a rural area with my wife. We have started a small hobby farm for ourselves with chickens, geese, ducks, quail, and goats. I am a bagpiper and play for various functions. I also enjoy model building, science fiction / fantasy books and movies, renaissance and pirate faires, studying and teaching history, photography, and being creative. The rest is just mundane stuff and I endeavor to be as non-mundane as I can. :D

A couple of pretty interesting articles on Trek.
First:
The Geometry of Star Trek.
 www.robotjackalope.com/?p=205

Might be helpful for any starship designers out there... ;)

Second:
10 Ways Star Trek Just Isn’t Star Trek Anymore.
whatculture.com/film/10-ways-s…

Before anyone starts in with name calling, let me say that I've enjoyed all the reincarnations of Star Trek. It's just that there was "something" missing and when several of the shows basically broke down into the 'Starship firefight of the week' They lost my interest. That doesn't mean that there weren't some real gems. Star Trek is about Exploration, not warfare and combat.
With the new films 'Star Trek' and 'Into Darkness' I think the actors are doing a great job filling the parts. They do need better writers however.
I've enjoyed the new films, in the way that I enjoy the 'Star Wars' films, I don't have to concentrate to much...
Hope the next 'Star Trek' writer remembers the time when we were explorers, going, boldly 'where no man has gone before.'

LLAPVulcan :)

Love your work. My wife and I were admiring your lost in space art. Impressive. I grew up watching Lost in Space with my dad on Sun mornings before church. Lost in space first, the land of the giants, and Voyage to the bottom of the sea. Great stuff! You are brilliant! Thanks for taking me back to some great tv classics!

That is very strange. Even so, they are only one, sorry to say, minor group. That still doesn't change that a large number of cultures around the world, some with no connection to the Tigris / Euphrates area have a legend (myth if you prefer) of a terrible deluge with a few being saved in an 'Ark' of some sort.
If you don't believe or don't want to believe in God that's fine. It doesn't change my belief.
The Creator of All Things said, "For those who believe in God, I am God. For those who believe in the Goddess, I am the Goddess. For those who believe in nothing. I am nothing..."
Sorry that you were banned by the artist.
Don't know why he did that, but I'd rather not hash this out on my profile page.
