Voyage-Preparation for Departure by dragonpyper
Voyage-Preparation for Departure
Been tinkering together a model of the ARES Spacecraft from Stephen Baxters Novel VOYAGE.
In the Novel The USA sends the first manned mission to Mars in 1985.

The ARES is not yet fully finished but enough to show off a bit.
The ARES consists of parts by Hlynkacg, Kionel, and myself.
Also some parts from the NASA 3D Model Download

Thanks for looking.:thumbsup::ahoy:

I live in a rural area with my wife. We have started a small hobby farm for ourselves with chickens, geese, ducks, quail, and goats. I am a bagpiper and play for various functions. I also enjoy model building, science fiction / fantasy books and movies, renaissance and pirate faires, studying and teaching history, photography, and being creative. The rest is just mundane stuff and I endeavor to be as non-mundane as I can. :D

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been getting PMs from 3-4 deviants asking for copies of my models.
Although I'm quite flattered by the requests, the models are not yet ready to be released. They'll be released when I feel that they're finished and ready for release, not before.

In addition, I've had to deal with a few theft issues with what I have released and its a PAIN.

One of those that asked has been understanding, the others have kept asking, and it's starting to tick me off. If you really need a Trek ship there are plenty of models out there. If you can't find what you want, then learn to model.

I don't mean to sound grumpy, but I feel like I'm in the story of Michelangelo and Pope Julius II over painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel...

"When will it be done?"
"When it is done..."

"Well. When will it be done?"
"When it is Finished..."

"Well. When will it be Finished?"
"When it is Complete..."

"Well. When will it be Complete?"
"When it is done..."

They'll be released when I'm happy with them, not sooner and honestly the first ones I'm considering on release are 'non-trek'...

I would have been much more impressed if the last commenter had written something in her own words rather than pick and choose and then cut and paste from a web page. Students that do that in my U.S. History Class get a Failing Grade...

Thank you for watching my group, CSAsupporters. Please spread the word that we are a group of Confederates who stand in defiance of racism and wish to fight against groups like the KKK.
